Application:

Adults: when practical, cleanse the affected area by patting or blotting with an appropriate cleansing wipe. Gently dry by patting or blotting with a tissue or a soft cloth before applying this cream. PREPARATION H Multi-Symptom Pain Relief Cream is to be applied externally or in the lower portion of the anal canal only.

Apply to the affected area up to 4 times daily, especially at night, in the morning and after each bowel movement. A dispensing cap is enclosed to control dispersion of the cream to the lower portion of the anal canal. Before applying, remove the protective cover from the dispensing cap and then attach the cap to the tube. Lubricate the dispensing cap then gently insert it partway into the anus. Squeeze the tube so that the cream is applied in the lower portion of the anal canal. Thoroughly cleanse the cap after each use and replace the protective cover.
